An Orlando Condominium in the Metro West Area is seeking a Grounds Keeper. Company is paying $10.00 an hour to start / full time to hire position.
Dress Code: Work pants (Dickies or Khakis), Pollo shirt, Work boots
Summary:

Employee is required for maintaining the clean and neat appearance of assigned areas, focusing on the exterior of the property and its grounds.

In addition, employee is responsible for reporting all problems to the supervisor, including problem items that may not be in the list of responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.

Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors and individual building common areas, using brooms, mops, and/or power scrubbing, power washing and waxing machines.

Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
-
Complete all required forms and work orders.
-
Perform casual labor, such as lifting/moving heavy items as directed by Chief Maintenance Engineer/Property Manager following appropriate safety procedures.
-
Routinely inspect common areas to ensure they are maintained clean and in an aesthetically appealing condition by painting when necessary.

Maintain working relationship with fellow staff members.
-
Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition.
-
Remove debris from driveways, garages, and swimming pool areas.
-
Wash outdoor walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.

Report any and all maintenance items which include, but is not limited to, burned out lights, leaks, broken equipment to the Building Maintenance Department.

Observe all State, Federal and Company safety standards/precautions while performing task in order to maintain a safe work environment.

Observe precautions required to protect Residents, guests and property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.

Properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.

Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.

Assist in maintaining records of scheduled maintenance procedures. Job Requirements

Minimum two (2) years general experience in building trades, repair or handy-work.

Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms. Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate
-
Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products.
-
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk and climb stairs, climb ladders, crawl in small and tight spaces; stoop and/or kneel; lift and/or move and/or carry up to 20 pounds or more in the work environment.

Ability to handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment.
-
Ability to reach with hands and arms.
-
Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required, meeting the job functions.

Position requires exposure to the outdoor climate and weather conditions.

Ability to work around chemical cleaning solutions.

Ability to repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers.

Position requires occasional exposure to the outdoor climate and weather conditions.

Driving when necessary.

Must have the ability to react and address all emergency situations in a timely manner.
