Madame Tussauds is the ultimate celebrity interactive experience, where you can get up close and personal with A-list celebrities, sporting legends, political heavyweights and historical icons.

Welcoming more than 40 million guests a year, our attractions are the embodiment of everything our business stands for, and talented and motivated people are what really bring our attractions to life. We are recruiting Duty Managers for all three attractions, across a range of departments.

The Role Finance Assistant

As a Finance Assistant you will provide support to the finance department and manage the day to day operations of all the money operations within the attraction with an emphasis on daily deposit logs, auditing cash, drawers, bank verification, etc….Provide support to the finance manager regarding daily reporting, weekly reporting and end of the month reporting.

Duties will include:

• Clerical support to the finance department
• Process all invoices in a timely manner. Take receipt of the package, match with PO, write down FGL number, and settle discrepancies with vendors on PO vs. invoice. Forward to appropriate signer and return to NY for processing. Point person for all inquiries in regards to invoicing.
• Process daily sales audits. Flash reporting for future purposes.
• Tight control of cash control policies and/or procedures in attraction.
• Create and process daily manifests and audits. Good recordkeeping of employee cash out vs. daily reporting. Investigation and reporting for discrepancies. Communication of persistent discrepancies to appropriate personnel. Accurate par and maintain banks for all cash handling positions in the attraction.
• Notify the financial controller of any cash, check or credit card discrepancies. Investigate cash discrepancies.
• Liaison between finance and all levels of staff to ensure full knowledge of all significant finance issues.
• Ensure ready access finance information, by maintaining proper files
• To oversee Front of house to ensure admin procedures are adhered to, such as voucher redemptions processing, prices, and promotions are displayed.
• To undertake duty management responsibility as when required by the operations manager.
• Ensure that Accesso is updated with current coupon codes/discounts.
• Responsible for monitoring and controlling costs within the boundaries of the office cost budget.
• Any other reasonable duties or activities which may be required as appropriate.
• Maintain confidential information

The Person

The successful candidate will be self-motivated with excellent communication, planning and organizational skills with an outgoing and professional manner. A background in cash handling and attention to details skills is a plus. As a team player you’ll need to be flexible to working hours, have the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and act with flair and initiative.
