Legal Collections Manager
Job Description:
This position is to engage, manage and work directly to improve the activities of the legal department for the organization. Determine what new accounts will be established for legal activity against consumers. Enforcing the company’s legal policy.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

Create a legal management environment of an acceptable quality, in terms of established legal guidelines

Assist in developing sound, acceptable legal policies

Analyze accounts and prepare reporting on highest value accounts including recommendation for resolution

Develop processes and procedures or evaluating performance of the legal department.

Establish a legal forwarding criteria per state

Create a pull system that extracts specific criteria established above from current collections inventory

Develop a system that establishes metrics for each level- Claims approved, claims forward, claims served, judgment awarded, paid…

Create a reporting suite showcasing attorney, client, return on investments, etc.

Direct oversight of all pre-suit collection efforts

Monitor activity and collections and provide updates of receivables and provide appropriate reporting procedures

Continue to experiment with new processes aimed at either lowering costs or increasing revenue

Create a system to track and provide action plans to impact legal success after forwarding (process, service, etc.)

Implement ongoing processes to increase post judgement execution outcome

Monitor and manage Attorney performance
Supervisory Responsibilities
-
Manages approximately 8 subordinates.The legal manager is responsible for the development and creates an environment to help motivate the subordinates to optimize their performance and professional growth.Works closely with our Attorney network to establish work standards and monitor performance.
Qualifications/ Experience
3-5 years experience with agency or debt buyer performing similar role, strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Must have excellent negotiation and problem solving skills. Must have experience in a Legal Collection environment.
