Camaraderie Foundation’s mission is to provide healing for invisible wounds of war through counseling, emotional, and spiritual support for all branches of military service members, veterans and their families.
Camaraderie Foundation was founded and established as a non-profit 501(c)(3) in 2009. Since its inception, hundreds of families have participated in various programming and counseling activities. Position Objective
To fulfill the mission of Camaraderie Foundation to support veterans and their families, establishing and executing programs and services. This effort includes monitoring and evaluating program quality and impact.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute the Foundation’s core programs for veterans and their family members (program topics, logistics, participation, etc). This includes coordination to ensure that counseling, emotional, and spiritual needs are met with qualified care.
- Lead the monitoring of program effectiveness, participation and impact.
- Serve as the Foundation’s primary resource for identification of various community support and services available for military families.
- Lead all programmatic efforts; includes developing program topics, education materials and program collateral.
- Participate in outreach activities to increase Camaraderie Foundation visibility amongst target population.
- Develop and execute processes to assess and monitor client satisfaction.
- Serve under the direction of the Program Committee Chair; manage committee meetings, administrative support, planning and committee recruitment.
- Provide monthly reports and annual assessments for the Executive Director and the Board of Directors.
- Recruit, secure, manage and work closely with counselors partnered with Camaraderie Foundation to ensure quality of service and benefits to clients.

Time Allotment – The Program Manager will spend:
- Approximately 40% of the Program Manager’s time is devoted to leading the execution of programs supporting veterans and their families. This includes developing educational materials, executing Camaraderie Foundation’s core programs, tracking impact and outcome measurements of programs and attending programs.
- Approximately 40% of the Program Manager’s time is devoted to supporting veterans and their families that contact Camaraderie Foundation needing resources. This includes fielding client calls, in-take, program registrations, individual and family discussions and client follow-up.
- Approximately 20% of the Program Manager’s time will be spent building community partnerships and recruiting volunteer support to align with Camaraderie Foundation’s mission. This includes speaking engagements, leading the program committee, community fairs and military programs targeting veterans and their families.
Qualifications
- BS in Counseling or MSW in Social Work preferred, but not required.
- Minimum 2 years in family counseling or program management.
- Experience or personal connection with military or military families preferred, but not required.
- Comfortable with public speaking.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Nonprofit experience preferred.
- Understanding and appreciation for all aspects of the mission
