Associate Land Representative:  We are seeking an experienced Land Representative for our office in the Orlando, FL metro area. The ideal candidate will have directly applicable experience as listed below.

 

Summary:  Are you someone who loves digging into the details and researching for commercial real estate/land acquisition projects?  If you have strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills, you may be just who we need!  We are looking for someone who is willing to work on a long term basis as a contractor assigned to a large energy sector employer in Lake Mary. For this role, you will be assigned to work in their offices in a regular 40 hour work week but you will be employed by a third party company.   

Here is what you need to bring to the table:

Strongly prefer prior experience doing title research as a para-legal, title agent or researcher;

  • Must have strong computer skills, must be proficient in Excel and Word,
  • Prefer experience using ATIDS and DEED PLOTTER;
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work well in a team environment;
  • Must have excellent problem solving and decision making capabilities, with attention to detail and good analytical abilities;
  • Must have the ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, shift priorities easily;
  • Must possess good organizational and customer service skills, able to work independently and as a team member;
  • Strongly prefer experience analyzing and evaluating titles (O&E reports 100yr) and interest in real property by researching public records on County and State internet sites;
  • Prefer some college or post-high school coursework in real estate or law;
  • Prefer some experience plotting and interpreting metes and bounds legal descriptions;
  • Prefer experienced with of right-of-way acquisitions;
  • Prefer experience researching public utility easements.

What will you do in this role?  Your responsibilities will include many of the items below – may vary depending on your qualifications and the immediate need of the company.

  • Print documents from internet and Company database;
  • Pull and copy tax maps from internet;
  • Make copies of various documents;
  • Run searches and order documents on the FUND;
  • Scan tax maps and old line code maps;
  • Pull documents, maps etc. based on information provided for Government & Maintenance Requests;
  • Set up for live meetings;
  • Search property data on Clerk of Court and Property Appraiser websites;
  • Organize and maintain specific information on county discs;
  • Search STR & line codes in Business Objects;
  • Pull pertinent easements, encroachments, agreements, etc.;
  • Order and track title work from Title Company; Set up file folder on capital projects;
  • Separate, organize and scan historical maps;
  • Research line, parcel and structure information using ESRI and Google Earth
  • Manage and process transmission line data reports for GIS mapping;
  • Manage railroad permit file records for all contracts and annual renewals, billing and spreadsheet data; fill out check request;
  • Coordinate with IT&T and Siting & Acquisition group;
  • Develop and maintain reports for annual RR and HOA dues;
  • Setup meetings; update meeting minutes;
  • Update distribution list; assist in monthly scheduling GM Staff meetings;
  • Provide GM and technical support; maintain compliance schedule training schedules;
  • Order supplies.
