Accounts Receivable Specialist

Prepay Accounts and Chargeback Specialist

 

Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of pre-pay accounts to monitor balances as well as collect payment

Carry out the duties involved in the full cycle of chargebacks by researching, disputing, monitoring, resolving and recovering charges deducted (The main focus will be to collect on any pre-pay balances that were not received through the automated process while also working on the daily recovery of chargebacks)

 

Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:

Focus is on accurate and timely response to chargebacks received daily while posting chargeback entries in the back office.

Maintain a prepay aging report on a weekly basis to monitor balances

Collect payments due by prepay clients

Work on refunds that need manual processing

Post payments and reconcile accounts

Assist consumers with calls on credit card charges

Liaise with the consumers’ banks on authorization or charge questions

Focus on accurate and timely response to chargebacks received daily while posting chargeback entries in the back office

Dispute and recover invalid deductions/chargebacks

Prepare monthly status report of the chargebacks

Work strategically with the fraud department on chargeback trends to reduce fraud

Work strategically with the credit card processor companies on any processor issues or changes

Performs other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable department

 

Requirements:

Associate degree or higher (preferred)

2 years minimum of related experience

Knowledge of the card scheme processes for Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and PayPal

Analytical and detail oriented with strong organizational skills

Strong negotiation and problem solving ability and effective follow-up skills

Ability to work closely and develop good working relationships within and across departments

Strong written and verbal communication skills, intermediate to advanced Excel skills
