Yacht StarShip Dining Cruises, America's first 3-diamond rated fine dining yacht, is now accepting applications for a Full Time Reservations Agent. All applicants should have at least one year of experience in some type of customer service and an interest in the hospitality industry. Position offers anywhere from 35-40 hrs/wk. Qualified applicants must be available to work weekends ie. Saturdays and Sundays. Weekdays can be flexible.
Position consists of 2 main elements:
1. Inbound phone calls and making reservations for parties of 2-24 people.
2. Handling the boarding of dining cruises, including the distribution of boarding passes and cash transactions.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to welcoming clients that are arriving for site tours, working with our marine department to ensure the boarding area is safe and clean, and making sure our Starship brochure racks are stocked.
The position requires someone that is able to and enjoys work independently with high logical/deductive reasoning skills. Also, must be computer savvy. This position requires use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as instant message chat and our reservations software. Must have a professional demeanor on the phone as well as in face-to-face interactions. This is a great position for someone loves the hospitality industry, loves talking to people and loves the boating industry! (Who doesn't right?)
