Housekeeping Supervisor Responsibilities

  1. Lead by Example: Maintain a positive, professional attitude and take the necessary initiative to better serve our external and internal customer, display attentive and gracious hospitality and exemplify Sheraton Vistana Values and all SVO programs (including Excellence in Action, SPG, Sheraton Service Culture).  
  2. Ensure that established enhanced service levels and standards are being maintained. Review trends and/or areas of improvement and respond appropriately (RCI Score, GSI Score, VOC, Starvoice). Remain current on issues and trends which are relevant to the department by attending various learning functions, such as meetings and training workshops (internal and external).  
  3. Communicate with other departments to solicit their assistance when necessary to accomplish company and departmental goals. Respond to our guest's questions, complaints, comments, and requests and if needed determine necessary recovery to ensure guest satisfaction.
  4. Ensure that department communication occurs effectively and consistently, communicate all issues necessary to enhance associate's performance, and project completion. Maintain open and constant communication with associates and management within established goals and guidelines. Identify and respond appropriately to trends and/or areas of improvement.  
  5. Inspect villas for job completion and confirm required quality levels are reached (interior and exterior of villas to ensure that 90+ level of quality standards are met, inventory is complete, maintenance issues are reported). Utilize Villa Inspection sheet for documentation of quality of performance and coaching purposes.
  6. Assist department Managers and Assistant Directors with associate evaluations providing information about associate's performance and behavior. Support the Environmental Services Department training efforts directed toward maximizing personnel capabilities and productivity and Living the Sheraton Brand, maintaining open communication with the training professional at all times.
  7. Assist department managers with preparation and completion of the "Project list". Ensure that schedule of "Blitz villas" is completed. Ensure established cleaning deadlines are met:  Diamond Lane and Elite villas by assigned time, check outs by 4:00 pm, time services as requested.
  8. Ensure that associates have all linen and supply. Communicate with Laundry Department and Expediter when supply or linen needs to be re-stocked in linen closet. Monitor abuse of supply and address abuse immediately to associate.  Direct work flow to accomplish department goals.
  9. Make sure that associates use assigned chemicals and equipment within the established guidelines (proper use of chemicals, sticky criters, cleaning procedures, etc.)  
  10. Perform various other duties as needed or requested by management.
