(ISC)², is seeking students who are interested in working in Information Security or related field for a paid part-time 3 month internship opportunity. The intern will be responsible for performing security analyst job junctions to include the following:

  •  Effective Monitoring of and use of security systems to verify compliance with (ISC)², security policies and assist in protecting corporate and customer data.
  • Assist in developing sound security policy and process, as well as deployment, administration, and support of related security systems.
  • Assist with the support of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access control devices.
  • Participation in offensive and defensive security initiatives such as vulnerability management, penetration testing, security and remediation testing, forensic investigations, and malware analysis.
  • Partake in Security Awareness activities such as producing educational videos, creating newsletters, and posting to an internal blog about security best practices.
  • Assist in Formal Risk reviews including identification and classifications. This also includes PCI, SSAE16, and SOX compliance activities.
  • Write technical documents and RFPs as necessary describing base security requirements and architecture
  • Updates and improve job role by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations
  • Participate in an Incident Response Team as necessary.

 The Ideal Candidate

  •  Working towards an undergraduate degree from an accredited university.
  • Academic background in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Should possess a great attitude, show proven initiative, display a thirst for knowledge, and adhere to our code of Ethics
  • Ability to work in the U.S for a indefinite period of time
  • Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals, understanding of common ports and protocols, and familiarity with common cyber security technologies. 
  • 3.0 or higher GPA
