Description:
SEARCH is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for the oversight and administration of all human resource functions including: recruiting, staffing, on-boarding, recognition, retention, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, labor relations, and regulatory compliance. This is a full-time salaried position with a competitive compensation package.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the President and senior leadership on all Human Resource issues;
- Manage all aspects of recruiting and hiring for open positions;
- Onboard successful applicants;
- Oversee the electronic employee file database and have full responsibility for destruction of records;
- Manage open enrollment annually for health insurance plans and bi-annually for 401k plan;
- Recommend, develop and implement policies in response to regulatory requirements;
- Develop and/or update training documents and employee manuals;
- Travel as needed to support staff and company operations throughout the US and internationally.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field;
- 3 years’ experience in a generalist role and familiarity with labor rules in multiple states and US territories;
- Ability to communicate, both verbally and through technical writing, information regarding employee relations, benefits, and company directives in a clear and effective manner that is thorough and easily understood employees at all levels;
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required;
- Previous experience working with scientists and/or engineers preferred;
- Creative writing abilities, proofreading skills and ability to research HR issues;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Skype and GoToMeeting;
- Experience with ADP Payroll is preferred;
- Occasional travel is required.

Vision- Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to conduct archaeological or historical fieldwork, conduct research, and use computer software. Clear vision at 20 inches or less and distance vision at 20 feet or more.
Physical Strength- indoor office environment, may need to occasionally move up to 15 lbs.
Compensation:
Compensation is based upon education and experience.
