Vice President - Learning and Development

We are currently seeking a seasoned Vice President - Learning and Development, preferably with financial institution experience, to join our Human Resources team in our east Orlando Corporate Center.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience in a training, leadership and/or sales development role. In this role, you will design and manage an overall learning and development strategy and roadmap aligned with the business strategy at the company, department and work group levels. In addition, you will develop and implement comprehensive, relevant and effective training programs across major functions and levels of the organization based on needs assessments and organizational strategies. A proven track record of managing and supporting the assessment of organizational needs and the design, implementation and evaluation of programs that facilitate continuous learning of crewmembers and managers is imperative in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with all levels of management to determine core competencies required for key positions and identify, develop or acquire specific resources needed to develop those competencies.
  • Create, deliver, and/or coordinate the delivery of management, leadership and sales effectiveness training programs.
  • Oversee development and management of Crewmember Development portals such as LMS and company Intranet.
  • Ensure training compliance with various regulatory standards.
  • Determine and monitor appropriate metrics for crewmember and leadership development and training.
  • Maintain advisory/consultative relationship with management and others throughout the organization on internal and third party training and training related activities.
  • Establish, follow and update training best practices to ensure adoption and integration of current training and adult learning methodologies into the Learning and Development department.
  • Execute a learning and development strategy through a blend of formal classroom learning, online, coaching/mentoring, on-the-job development and other innovative practices incorporating current and emerging technology tools and platforms that will allow for efficient and effective delivery of learning and development programs.
  • In conjunction with EVP, HR develops and executes plans and initiatives to support and meet department and company-wide objectives and goals.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development/Design or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a training or development role.
  • Knowledge through direct experience of learning concepts, training and development methods and techniques.
  • Direct experience to perform and interpret needs analyses and translate findings into actionable steps.
