The Los Angeles Film School is a postsecondary entertainment school designed to help students develop skills and knowledge they can use to pursue career opportunities in the entertainment industry. We are currently looking for Online Admissions Representatives that are committed to changing students’ lives and helping them succeed as they start their careers. As we forge ahead into a new era of leadership, growth and innovation, we will be launching our online programs and establishing our online division in Orlando, Florida.

General Job Description:

We are seeking results-oriented professionals who work with prospective high school graduates to help them decide on career goals by explaining our entertainment programs. Your goal will not be to simply enroll students in a program, but help them find the right program so they can grow into successful professionals. We provide our students with much more than a service -- we provide them with a future and the chance to realize their dreams. Recruiting students for our institute requires a customer-focused attitude, service-orientation, an ability to meet challenges head-on, and a passion for changing lives through education. As an Admissions Representative for the Online Division, in a high-volume Call Center environment, you will recruit adult students, assess their educational needs, and explain the benefits and objectives of the programs offered by The Los Angeles Film School – Online Division. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Enroll prospective students

• Help prospects identify their unique skills and interests

• Guide applicants through the enrollment process

• Assist in completion of enrollment forms as needed

  • Conducts personal telephone interviews and engages in e-mail correspondence to identify high school and adult student prospects to determine their educational needs, concerns and interests. 

  • Closely assists and mentors students through the Admissions enrollment process. 

  • Ensures compliance with applicable Company policies and procedures, laws and regulations.

  • Verbally communicates approved presentations to promote programs to prospective adult and high school students. 

  • Actively generates referral business to help maintain Company goals.

  • Participates in school retention efforts by maintaining productive contact with his/her active students   through graduation.

  • Actively participates in special recruiting promotional activities.

  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills

    • Effective multi-tasking and time management skills

    • A results-oriented, quick-thinking organized approach to make things happen

    • Self-motivation and the ability to perform without extensive direct supervision

    • 3-5 years of experience in sales and/or customer service

    • Able to work weekends and some nights

  • At least two years of high volume intangible sales is required with a High School diploma (or equivalent) or a minimum of 6 months of high volume intangible sales experience with a related Bachelor’s degree.  Call Center experience preferred.

  • Able to communicate and persuade others.  Possess strong interpersonal skills such as the ability to build cooperative relationships with a diverse customer base by being perceptive of others’ reactions and understanding why they react as they do; selling or influencing others—convincing others to change their minds or actions; and the ability to make presentations and conduct interviews.

  • Previous proven success in presenting material.

  • Efficiently and effectively utilize a personal computer and related software including Microsoft Office, the Internet and Recruitment database software.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and due date pressures utilizing strong planning, organization and time management skills while generating a high level of quality work product.
