2^nd Shift Powder Coat Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Benada Aluminum Products, LLC, located in Sanford, FL is seeking a full-time Powder Coat Supervisor to support our Paint Department in an aluminum extrusion plant.

JOB SUMMARY  Powder Coat Supervisor - Manufacturing

• Responsible for supervising associates to accomplish department and organizational objectives.
• Encourages continual growth in associates regarding business knowledge.
• Encourages and facilitates continuous improvements.
• Under indirect supervision coordinates, manufacturing activities for operators and specialized operators, coordinates support required to meet production goals.
• Prepares statistical & Administrative reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS for Powder Coat Supervisor - Manufacturing

• Supervises individuals and teams to maximize their effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of work.
• Monitors performance and encourages and facilitates implementation of improvements.
• Challenges associates and teams.
• Ensure on-time manufacture of product that fully meets customer expectations and quality requirements.
• Coordinates powder coating painting process, including safety procedures and environmental controls.
• Meet production efficiency and operating cost standards.
• Supervise paint operations to meet operating objectives and satisfy customer.
• Follow up to daily priorities by product line, ensuring compliance to customer requirements.
• Follows up technical training for his crew on powder coating process.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides direction, support, and resources to individuals and teams.
• Communicates company policies and objectives and fosters two-way communication.
• Ensures individuals and teams meet customer requirements and expectations.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication.
• Supports company policies and objectives and promote a union free environment.
• Communicate to Department manager prior to any changes made in the planning and/or commitments related to present open orders.
• Schedule all present priorities to the shop floor associates and follow up through completion.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES REQUIRED: 

• Ideal candidate should have experience in, or the ability to:  provide leadership role in a manufacturing environment, experience with sheet metal equipment, maintain a safe, well organized work space, experience monitoring on going performance and skills of all workers in a department.
• Planning and supervisory skills.
• Computer skills to include Word, Excel and Data Entry
• Ability to read and monitor basic quality checks and individual work station instructions.
• People oriented management.
• Powder coating technical knowledge.
• Process Knowledge.
• Supervisor must have excellent interpersonal skills, facilitating skills, and problem solving abilities.
• Promotes Teamwork

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• 3 – 5 years combined experienced as supervisor in the present line of work.
• 3 – 5 years in Powder coating processes.
• Minimum 2-5 years previous experience in a leadership role.
• Bi-lingual preferred (English/Spanish).
• Manufacturing or industry experience IS required.
