To assist members and potential members with their Credit Union needs; promote and cross-sell services, set up new accounts, respond to problems, and direct members to the appropriate people. Educates our members on accomplishing their financial goals.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Assists members with opening and closing accounts, answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve. Refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.

Identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross-sells services to members.

Acts as liaison between members and various organizations and departments.

Assures that appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.

Maintains member account information on computer system.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:
1. To provide prompt, accurate, courteous, friendly, timely and professional service to all members. (To assist members waiting in the lobby within five minutes; To answer telephone within 3 rings; To respond to all correspondence within 24 hours).
2. To process member transactions with zero errors.
3. To develop and improve knowledge and skills in Member Service Areas.
4. To sell a minimum of 20 to 30 new products per month; with at least 10 being loan products.
5. To maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
6. To ensure compliance with Credit Union's Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Customer/Member Identification Programs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
Experience: Two years or more of similar or related experience.

Education: A high school education or GED. Some college courses, preferred.

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Work Hours: Monday – Thursday, varied start and stop times between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with a half hour for lunch. Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a half hour lunch
