Senior Design Engineer. Wheeled Coach Industries, Inc. Winter Park, FL.
Prepare engineering design that is commercially practical, technically sufficient, economically sound for assigned products based on predetermined mechanical characteristics; evaluate performance requirements and weights and dimensional limits, and determine the nature and working relationship of the various design elements.
Prepare initial design layouts. Arrange mechanical integration of new products.
Evaluate feasibility of cost reduction projects from a mechanical engineering perspective.
Provide technical information to diverse teams (e.g. engineering, production, purchasing, and sales) for specific products.
Requirements
Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering plus 3 years of mechanical engineering experience in a specialty commercial vehicle or truck chassis manufacturing environment;
Professional Engineer license from any state in the U.S. or Canada. Required experience must include CAD and problem-solving techniques (e.g. root cause analysis).
