We are searching for a professional to work as a Human Resources Manager. The role of the HR Manager is to help ensure compliance in all practices and procedures, support all employees including management, on matters relating to employment and labor law, work as the benefits administrator and assist in implementing policies and procedures related to employee relations.  


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
•    BS degree preferred or equivalent experience 
•    2-5 years in a Human Resources position, PHR or SPHR preferred

 
SKILLS/ABILITIES: 

  • Conducts recruiting and placement activities for targeted positions.
  • Filter applications, schedule applicants and respond to inquiries.
  • Records employee information, such as personal data, benefits, employment applications.
  • Administers background checks for all new personnel; handles drug testing process.
  • Responsible for departmental communication, benefits overview, employee handbook, new hire orientation, policies, etc.
  • Ensures compliance posters and employee handbook are up to date.
  • Works proactively with Management and Supervisors to update and create job descriptions.
  • Organizes open enrollment meetings and paperwork for all benefits.
  • Composes types and files routine correspondence.
  • Holds lead positions on multiple committees, including safety, health and wellness.
  • Main contact for gym memberships, safety assessments, and legal advisement services, workers’ compensation providers, COBRA provider, benefits brokers, etc. 
  • Uses experience, knowledge and judgment to perform the functions of the job.
  • Assists in all other tasks related to company policies, procedures and employee relations.
  • Reports and tracks Workers’ Compensation claims and ensures all paperwork is completed.
  • Tracks FMLA leave for all employees, ensures paperwork is completed and updated as needed and works with managers and supervisors to ensure all FMLA related absences and time off requests are processed accurately and in a confidential manner.
  • Monitors and reports COBRA needs to Medcom; updates and notifies payroll of changes.
  • Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
  • Manages and monitors the activities of the temporary workforce.


WORK HOURS: Typically Monday through Friday. Ability to work extended/flexible hours occasionally.
