Web Press Sheeter / Stacker

The Web Press Sheeter Operator is part of the web crew and is responsible for inspecting for quality, keeping counts, removing waste and stacking product onto skids.

Essential Functions: 

The essential functions include, however, are not limited to:

• Assists roll tender in setting up rolls as per job requirements
• Assist 2^nd press operator in setting up plates
• Assists in make-ready of job
• Stack off work produced onto skids or unload utilizing bundler neatly to assure good running in finishing process
• Prepare skids as required and verify all information on load flags is accurate
• Watch for smearing, register, bad folds, etc. out of stacker and report problems to press operator
• Move skids away from the press and organize in staging area
• Review sheets for cut-off, side guide and other print problems on a continual basis
• Maintain clean and safe work environment around press at all times
• Assist as directed by press operator or second web operator until job is complete
• Assist with the interim management and transfer of satellite-accumulated hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams consistent with county, State of Florida and federal environmental regulations

Physical Requirements:

• Mobility to access the building, to move within the plant.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted
• Bend, stand, stretch in the course of performing the duties of the position
• Ability to stand for long periods of time during shift 
• Ability to use hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms
• Ability to talk and hear
• Vision ability for close objects and for distance 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with others for work instructions
• Ability to work under pressure
•  Ability to read, write and understand written and verbal instructions
• Ability to perform basic math
• Have a working knowledge of scale system and how to set it up to assure accuracy of good count and waste counts

Education or Training Requirements:

Preferred:

• Mechanical aptitude
• High School Degree
