MS SQL Developer – SSIS/SSRS Solution Developer


Required Skills/Experience/Duties:

  • In depth SQL Server Database Administration
  • Experience in database/application tuning
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues, etc.
  • Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space, and other resource contention issues
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008, SQL Server Profiler, SQL Reporting Services
  • Resolve application T-SQL related issues
  • Create periodic Disaster Recovery testing plan and enable the capability for all SQL Server environments
  • Create process and procedure for periodic restore and recovery for all databases in multiple environments
  • Install Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 Enterprise software
  • Apply Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 patches
  • Install and configure third party products/tools required for SQL Server 2005/2008
  • Perform database administration and database maintenance tasks
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute data conversion activities such as data mapping and data conversion programming to support data migrations between systems
  • Conduct data mapping: defines data elements, entity relationships, input and output sources, and how data will be transmitted through a proposed system; estimates the type of information to be entered, computed, updated or otherwise used in the system; estimates data volumes
  • Create, or support creation of, required reports and queries in response to business user needs
  • Experience with SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS
  • Experience with Data analysis, data modeling, data warehouse
  • Able to provide a working model of transaction processing environment for capacity assessment and planning
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
