Down Under Tank Testing is experiencing significant growth and currently has full time openings for both entry level and Certified Petroleum Test Technicians. The positions are located throughout the state of Florida. We are a respected, quality focused company that provides exceptional customer service.
Job Description
Inspection and testing of fuel tank systems to test, identify, document and in some cases, repair or replace failing fuel system components. Fuel components include tanks, piping, secondary containment and leak detection equipment.
Requirements
- Able to work with supervision and eventually independently
- A good driving record
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Able to use hand and power tools
- Basic computer skills requiring you to enter test results and to receive and respond to emails
- Occasional overnight travel in company-furnished vehicle
Nice to have skills
- Military fuel experience a plus
- Prior experience with testing of fuel tank systems
- Current petroleum technician certifications relevant to the industry
Responsibilities
- Drive service vehicles to sites
- Conduct assigned testing at sites
- Understand and trouble-shoot basic mechanical issues that arise during testing
- Enter and transmit reports via computer
- Receive training on installing equipment and conducting tests
- Learn to analyze data
