Job Summary:
The VP, Business Development will work remotely from their home office and be responsible for generating new sales for the company. This individual will be part of the Sales & Marketing team and will report directly to the Chief Growth Officer. He/she will be required to reach out to a variety of healthcare risk-bearing entities to determine if the MedHOK platform or series of modules that MedHOK provides will solve specific business problems. Risk bearing entities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Health Plans
- Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBM)
- Specialty Pharmacy
- Third Party Administrators (TPA)
- Provider Groups
- Accountable Care Organizations (ACO)
- Patient Centric Medical Homes
Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Sales process for assigned region
- Minimally meet assigned quotas
- Develop and commit to detailed sales plan aligned to quarterly targets
- Create and update a pipeline utilizing Salesforce.com
- End-to-End coordination of RFI/RFP process Interface with the internal sales team after identifying and qualifying the opportunity, and drive the customer engagement in order to close the deals
- Work with sales team to ensure client requirements are addressed during demonstration
- Effective communication and follow-up to ensure momentum is not lost (external and internal)
- Negotiate pricing based on Finance guidance
- Negotiate contracts with legal and company support
- Attend conferences to help generate leads
- Keep up to date records of sales information
- Travel in assigned region required
Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Minimum 5 years “hunter” sales experience in healthcare technology, preferably with Software as a Service (SaaS) model experience
- Health Plan background strongly preferred
- Broad understanding of the health care regulations affecting risk-bearing entities
- Experience selling to “C-level” executives
- Proven record of exceeding sales quota

Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree is preferred
