Accounts Receivable Supervisor
Job Description:
The A/R Supervisor manages a staff of two and is responsible for the daily operations of the company’s accounts receivable cycle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Oversee/ensure the proper recording and application of payments received for mortgage, maintenance fees and escrow accounts.
§ Process and ensure proper recording of mortgage EFT transactions.
§ Review all journal posting to General Ledger accounts for mortgage, maintenance fee, and escrow transactions.
§ Responsible for all outside-company receivables to include invoicing, all related account reconciliations, aged receivables, and data transfers from A/R Module to General Ledger.
§ Reconcile, account for, and transfer maintenance fees received in advance to appropriate escrow account.
§ Review and prepare transfer of Reserve funds to proper escrow accounts.
§ Review and prepare transfer of Real Estate Taxes for Florida properties to proper escrow accounts.
§ Reconcile and prepare settlements for all intercompany GL accounts, trade and miscellaneous cash receipts, and mortgage and maintenance fee payments.
§ Assist in preparation of cash distribution to parent entity.
§ Support Management by providing timely and accurate payment and account standing information.
§ Assist Management with special projects as necessary.
Qualifications
§ Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting (Accounting strongly preferred)
§ 5+ years’ experience in an accounting department, supervisor experience preferred
§ Strong Excel knowledge (function formulas, pivot tables, linked spreadsheets)
§ Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
§ Ability to work with customers at all levels
§ Strong initiative in problem solving
§ Ability to develop and train staff
§ CPA or MBA a plus
§ Oracle General Ledger experience preferred
§ Ability to work overtime to assist in financial reporting department deadlines
§ Hospitality experience a plus
