Job Title:     Manager, Stakeholder Engagement
Department:     Strategic Partnerships        
Reports To:     Director, Investor Development         
FLSA Status:     Exempt
Location:    Orlando    

BASIC PURPOSE: Plan and execute the logistics for all aspects of group meetings and functions to ensure high quality board and stakeholder events, including the production of collateral materials; and serve as an interface between the organization and stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES or TASKS:

  • Plan and execute 12-15 well-coordinated, efficient board & committee meetings annually
  • Manage 12-15 meetings and functions for Defense and Military programs
  • Plan 6-8 regional training sessions for EDO partners
  • Facilitate responses to EDO partner requests/provide technical assistance
  • Manage annual statewide business awards function 
  • Develop checklist and timelines for staging events
  • Oversee design/production of materials, reports, documents needed
  • Manage hotel/venue selection process
  • Resolve emergent problems quickly
  • Negotiate hotel, service provider, supplier/vendor contracts 
  • Arrange food and beverage needs for functions and activities
  • Process invoice payment 
  • Prepare meeting summaries/minutes
  • Seek new ways to keep meetings and functions fresh and engaging
  • Stay abreast of latest trends in industry
  • Support production of power point presentations
  • Maintain strong partner relationships with local economic development partners
  • Educate stakeholders regarding organization’s programs and services
  • Respond to stakeholder inquires and requests
  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISION:  Not applicable to this position.

ACCOUNTABILITY: Impact and Scope 
This position is accountable for managing all aspects of meetings and functions aligned to the Strategic Partnership division.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to adeptly prioritize then manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail and follow through
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials 
  • Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions
  • Must be a team player
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Travel required
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years event planning experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
