Summary:

To take In Room Dining orders accurately in a helpful, friendly, courteous and professional manner and to ensure total guest satisfaction according to established standards.

Essential Duties :

1. Document orders, repeat items back to callers to ensure accuracy, quote expected delivery time with speed and accuracy. Inquire all orders to insure collection procedures.

2. Immediately enter order into micros system and note any special request clearly. Give food server copy of check to be delivered with order and to get proper signature or method of collection.

3. Keep an accurate tracker and help servers to expedite pick-ups. Retrieve daily specials and post on special board.

4. Answer calls for pick-up of trays and/or tables and direct servers to retrieve items. Help servers set up trays and break down.

5. Respond to guest complaints in a positive manner, negotiate a compromise and implement solution.Maintain clean and organized work station. Call back guests to check on quality of food and service.

6. Promptly answer In Room Dining calls, announce any specials, promote menu items and answer questions regarding food preparation. Field calls for other departments noting guest problem and then call the proper department.

Skills:

Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service standards Knowledge of all menu items and accompaniments. Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 20 lbs. Ability to operate micros to pre-check, input order and close out the check. Prior experience as a cashier in a similar environment
