ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including percentage of time):  Develop referral contacts (realtor’s builders, professional and personal contacts).  Maintain knowledge of OFCU policies and Procedures.  Maintain knowledge of available loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting and general departmental guidelines.  Follow defined protocol for escalation exceptions.  Collect appropriate documentation for each applicant and deliver loan package in the time frames established by Executives.  Manage pipeline for all originated loans through closing and complete required management reports.  Communicate with Branches and/or applicants by providing timely updates and progress reports.  Maintain high levels of member service while managing each applicant and support staff’s expectations.  Attend and participate in all Consumer Lending meetings as required by Executive Management.

Real Estate Sales/ Business Development - Collect and research data for prospective clients; establish procedures and criteria for contacting clients through to final results. Build a book of business prospects; develop innovative approaches and ideas, presents ideas and information in a manner that gains others attention.

 

  • Reporting – Track, compile and analyze data related to results, sales objectives, budget variances and other critical data and prepare and submit periodic reports for review by the Executive Team.  Analyze results and report on variances from plan by various categories including member type, product line, territory or account and monitor and track performance of key accounts.  Maintain mailing lists, databases or other member contact and sales related records and files.
  • Member Service -  Enter orders, file, call members, identify loans that have been processed, analyze solutions and take appropriate action to ensure member needs are met, call members to report results, answer questions, work with internal staff, request loans be expedited to comply with member requirements, communicating with lending, members, accounting and any other departments as needed to resolve outstanding issues and ensure member satisfaction, maintaining records and related information.
  • Project Development – Create a file for each new member or member group; develop a tracking device to follow member requirements to completion; partner with lending or marketing to prepare presentation of new marketing tools, campaigns etc. and track results.

2.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE (Please indicate required or preferred)

 

  • Bachelors Degree from a State accredited college or university; or
  • One to two years related Real Estate sales experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • General working knowledge of secondary market in mortgage loans, including FNMA/FHLMC pricing, policies and procedures and selling mortgage loan to private investors.
  • Understanding and knowledge of all branch operation functions.
  • Must be familiar with regulatory requirements for credit unions.

 

 

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Real Estate License (Certification)

ON-THE-JOB TRAINING:

  • Internal Sales and Service training
  • Core system training
  • Loan training
  • Integrity Service Training
  • Complete, monitor and report all suspicious activity, comply with BSA requirements including completion of annual training.
  • Complete basic managerial and leadership courses for HR Compliance.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, speak and write in English proficiently; speak effectively to a member or team member and/or before a group.
  • Fluent in Spanish is helpful but not required

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Aptitude to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to calculate fractions, percentages, ratios and averages to create branch and credit union reports.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Communicate expectations, provide timely response to situations, able to justify and follow through on decisions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Capacity to define problems; gather data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong interpersonal skills highly motivated and well organized excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office products, excel, word, power point, outlook etc.
  • Strong management skills in the area of staff career development and motivation, coaching and supervising, sales performance and risk management.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, maintain integrity of confidential member and team member information
