Warehouse Supervisor

This position supervises the day-to-day operations of the warehouse to ensure efficient operations and a safe working environment. The Warehouse Supervisor schedules and monitors employee activities and equipment use to meet and exceed company objectives. The Supervisor motivates employees in a team-based environment in a 24 hour/7 day a week operation. 

Essential Functions

• Supervises warehouse employee’s activities to ensure all scheduled shipments, LTL, and FTL, are processed and shipped by scheduled deadlines
• Provides oversight for employees that receive products from vendors and manufacturing: verifies counts, processes paperwork and ensures product is appropriately located
• Manages the locating of product utilizing scanners and the WMS system
• Ensures the accurate and timely pulling of product and delivery to manufacturing
• Directs the inventory control functions of the warehouse, performing monthly/weekly cycle counts, running reports from the WMS system on location usage and inventory
• Monitors and communicates with employees to ensure compliance with established warehouse and safety policies and procedures
• Interprets warehouse operation anomalies and identifies appropriate solutions
• Ensures the daily upkeep and housekeeping needs of the warehouse
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of  three years supervisory experience in a distribution facility with at least 10 warehouse workers
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management System and RF scanners
• Understanding and demonstration of inventory control concepts and techniques
• Knowledge of Warehouse racking systems /processes
• MS office: Word and Excel

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Knowledge of OSHA regulatory procedures and standards
• Forklift instructor certification
