SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide instructional guidance to members re: use of automated systems, etc.

  • Must be knowledgeable with interest rates, computation, and disclosure. Maintain a well-developed working knowledge of the complete line of products and services offered.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multitask environment.

  • Must be organized and able to work accurately and efficiently.

  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills and telephone etiquette.

  • Interviews applicant to obtain personal and financial data and fills out application for loans and credit cards.

  • Contacts by telephone, email, or letter; credit bureaus, employers, and personal references to check credit and personal references.

  • Prepare loan documents for branch and mail away loan closings.

  • Assists in the preparation of credit information necessary to establish credit limit, including such factors as applicant's assets, credit experience, and personal references, based on predetermined standards. Notifies applicants by mail, telephone, or in person of acceptance or rejection of application.

  • Provides assistance in filing, inputting data to computer, recording information as required, answering telephones, photocopy, faxing, typing letters, and general office routine.

  • Assists departmental staff in efficiently and effectively processing the various activities involved in credit granting, and performs such additional duties as might be assigned from time to time.

  • To assist in the department operation as needed in areas of quality control, Indirect Lending, submission of CUNA payment protection claims, vehicle extended warranty submission, gap submissions, vehicle titles and Interdepartmental assistance.

  • To effectively sell and promote CFE ancillary products with accountability through measured goals.

  • To be available to work scheduled Saturdays and/or late Fridays.

  • Assist with the preparation of the Monthly Lending Analysis.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Must have thorough knowledge of consumer loan processing; policies, procedures, interest rates, computation, disclosure, and able to secure necessary credit reports/ratings. Qualifications include high school diploma or GED and 1 to 2 years related experience in customer/member service environment.
