Lead PeopleSoft System Administrator
As a Lead PeopleSoft Administrator, this position's primary responsibility will include configuring application (including but not limited to ERP applications PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, and ancillary applications etc.). It will also include architecting, installing, monitoring and integrating ancillary departmental applications with PeopleSoft. This position will support and lead major initiatives and coordinate projects including implementing new modules, applying enhancements within PeopleSoft and managing upgrades of the PeopleSoft and ancillary applications. Working closely with network engineers, systems engineers, architects and database administrators, this position will be responsible for architecting and designing application deployment environment to be robust, secure, reliable and highly available. This position will lead projects to develop custom applications using complete SDLC methodologies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Setup, configure, and maintain all PeopleSoft application environments and accompanying Oracle databases in accordance with industry best practices
Script and automate routine maintenance tasks as appropriate
Maintain awareness of all Oracle and PeopleSoft software updates and coordinate implementation with Development Manager and Director of the Project Management office
Collaborate with network and server team on implementing necessary network, server, and operating system updates
Proactively monitor and manage PeopleSoft and Oracle system security, health, performance, and trends in capacity utilization
Isolate technical problems within the PeopleSoft system architecture and independently identify and test possible solutions
Escalate difficult problems to Oracle support and third parties as appropriate
Collaborate with backup administrators to implement, manage, and verify related database and server backups
Support the development team by troubleshooting issues in Production and non-Production application environments and perform migrations between environments
Refresh production data into pre-production environments as needed by the development team
Participate in change management, ensuring that all configuration and PeopleTools definition changes are appropriate and approved for migration to production

Education/Training
Bachelor's degree required. Associate's degree and two (2) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Bachelor's degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section). Four (4) years of directly related work experience may also substitute for the Bachelor's degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section).
Experience
Five (5) years of experience in the implementation and/or support of information technology applications.
Advanced knowledge of programming languages or knowledge of best practices when configuring an application, including one year of experience in a senior technical role with level III responsibilities (advanced problem solving as the highest technical resource).
