Affiliate Manager / Business Development
American Safety Council is seeking a proven Affiliate Manager / Business Development Manager with experience driving significant e-commerce growth through the establishment and maintenance of productive web affiliate relationships.

The ASC Affiliate Manager will be responsible for building, managing, and growing the affiliate based revenue for American Safety Council’s online training products, including workplace safety training, transportation safety, and occupational licensing and continuing education. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success recruiting large-scale, “needle moving” affiliates, and maintaining strong relationships with key affiliates on an on-going basis. The successful candidate will bring knowledge and experience of web affiliate program management from relevant e-commerce industries.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Affiliate Manager will assume oversight of existing key affiliate relationships and growing revenue contribution from the existing affiliate base. The Affiliate Manager will also be responsible for growing the affiliate revenue through the addition of Top Tier affiliates across relevant industries.

  • Identifying and recruiting new affiliates
  • Maintaining and stimulating relationships with the current affiliates
  • Developing and monitoring affiliate promotions
  • Collaborating with affiliates to improve their ability to represent ASC products / services / domains
  • Continually motivating affiliates to perform better
  • Reporting for affiliate marketing promotions and activity
  • Maintaining on-going communication campaigns
  • Identifying and implementing other opportunities to enhance the affiliate program
  • Keeping affiliates up to date on new products and any program enhancements
  • Keeping track of affiliate sales and paying affiliates in a timely manner (for in-house affiliate managers)
  • Curating the affiliate program; developing top performers and weeding out non-performers
  • Monitoring and reporting on competitors’ affiliate campaigns and promotions
  • Working across other ASC functions (Product, Technology, Customer Care) to support growth opportunities with affiliates

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree in relevant field.
  • Demonstrated and repeated success growing affiliate revenue contribution in a relevant e-commerce
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in Business Development and / or Affiliate Management
  • Knowledge of and experience with Digital Marketing strategies including Search Engine Marketing (PPC & SEO)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High business acumen, with experience negotiating and executing high impact affiliate relationships
  • Highly motivated, high energy individual with a passion for growing in the field of sales
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience and discipline using Salesforce.com
  • Knowledge of regulated, online training industry preferred (Traffic School, Defensive Driving, Driver Education, Regulatory Compliance Training)
