Refrigeration/HVACR Technician
- Provide technical support for the operations and maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration and ice machine systems,
- Execute repairs by troubleshooting complex systems and completing scheduled assignments in a timely manner,
- Performs preventative maintenance including but not limited to: scheduling maintenance to ensure continuous operation and prevent equipment interruptions; installing new or reconditioned mechanical or HVAC equipment; maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient environment
- Ensure all refrigerant systems repairs are in compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency regulations;
- Conduct assembly, dismantling and servicing on various equipment including but not limited to: walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in refrigerators and freezers, refrigerated display cases, ice machines, exhaust hoods, ventilated systems, air handlers, condensing units and related equipment
Job Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications: Completion of an approved apprenticeship program in air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating; or a high school diploma and four years of appropriate experience. Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
- Possess a working knowledge of preventative maintenance on HVAC mechanical systems and related equipment.
- Experience operating hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
- The ability to understand and interpret standard safety procedures
- At times Company will have jobs outside of the Central Florida Area. Technicians may be required to travel to those job sites
Special Conditions:
At least 5 year(s) experience is required
Must have the EPA Universal Section 608 Certification
Position requires a Class E license (regular license). The position involves driving to various locations
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
Position is eligible for on-call assignments
