Luxury Vehicle Cashier

CASHIER

PAY RATE: $9 - $9.75 Per Hour (Depending on shift)

SCHEDULE: This position operates within a 24/7 environment that may require applicants to work day, evening, and/or night shifts as well as holidays and weekends.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Under general supervision of the Manager on Duty, Customer Service Supervisor or Floor Coach, performs various tasks related to checking drivers on and off, assigning chauffeurs to vehicles, and controlling flow of cash and vouchers turned in by chauffeurs.

TYPICAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Checks chauffeurs on at the beginning of their shift by entering information such as chauffeur number into the computer system and provides chauffeur with available vehicle. Logs vehicle number into computer system. Issues trip ticket to appropriate chauffeur. Checks chauffeurs off at the end of their shift by entering trip ticket number, number of passengers and amount of cash collected. Counts all incoming cash and vouchers and compares to chauffeurs’ trip ticket for accuracy. Deposits cash and vouchers in safe. Distributes literature and other materials to chauffeurs as required. Keeps management informed of chauffeur activity requiring attention such as chauffeur being late or not showing up for work. Cashier may be required to perform job duties and essential functions of a Customer Service Agent or other duties not listed if requested.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Minimum six months experience in either cashiering or accounting in a related field required. Minimum three months experience with computer keyboard required. Experience with 10-key adding machine also required.

Skill at: Must have good oral and written communication skills.

Knowledge of: None.

Licenses: None required.

Special Requirements: Must be able to remain calm, pleasant and poised in high-pressure situations. MUST BE NON TOBACCO USER.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Must be able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately.
• Must be able to communicate by telephone or in person in clear fluent English in a courteous, friendly and professional manner with chauffeurs, customers, guests, co-workers and other persons.
• Must be able to access, input and retrieve information from a computer system and 10-key calculator.
• Must be able to read and understand trip tickets and other communications.
