Student Success Advisor

We are seeking a dedicated individual with experience in education, psychology, counseling, or student advising to support undergraduate online students in higher education. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Winter Park, FL, working from local offices in support of The Los Angeles Film School. Advisors are expected to support the vision, mission, and strategy of the school, displaying the highest professional standards, representing the school with a positive demeanor, and participating in the school’s activities with a collaborative spirit.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, counseling, social work, or related discipline
• A minimum of one year experience in student advising, admissions, enrollment, education or related field. Experience with students in an online higher-education environment is preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated to help others
• Excellent communication abilities, including telephone and email
• Self-motivated, proactive, able to multi-task
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook required). CampusVue a plus.
• Positive attitude and a passion for coaching and mentoring students
• Ability to work 2 weekday evenings per week
