SUMMARY:
Ideal candidate should be a self-starter, demonstrate a positive attitude, possess excellent communication skills, and an ability to analyze moderately difficult problems and offer practical solutions. This position is responsible for the development and enhancement of indirect dealer relationships with the credit union. This includes effective communication with each dealership, analysis of dealership opportunities to maximize the credit unions relationship with each dealer and grow the indirect loan business to meet the credit unions loan goals while managing risk. This position involves extensive out of office dealership site visits. These visits are conducted weekly at a minimum of three days each week to current and potential indirect dealer partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops sales plan to maintain and expand current markets, products and services, meeting and exceeding targeted goals and objectives.
- Build rapport and solidify existing and new dealer relationships in order to increase indirect outstanding loan balances.
- Meets and/or exceeds department goals as determined by organizational business plan. These include, but are not limited to; volume goals and cross selling goals.
- Ensures positive relationships with dealers by establishing strong communication channels and coordinating business calls. Resolves conflicts and issues that have escalated and makes adjustments going forward to ensure issues do not reoccur.
- Analyzes program/pricing recommendations and works with Department Management to determine future courses of action.
- Works to develop systemic improvements aimed at increased efficiency and continual improvement in member relations based on identified competitive data and dealer needs.
- Responsible for establishing and overseeing the dealer approval process to ensure CFE is partnering with financially stable dealerships. This includes, but is not limited to, the review of dealership tax returns and income statements as well as site visits/inspections.
- To be knowledgeable and ensure the overall operations run smoothly. ie: funding verification, loan disbursements, control problem resolutions and compliance set by state and national agencies.
- Creates and analyzes monthly reports regarding dealership volume, rates, departmental loan delinquencies, funding, and approvals. Makes recommendations to improve processes, manage risk and increase volume.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain needed reports for credit union management as well as audit requirements.
- Informs dealers of policy, procedural and price changes.
- Perform other duties or assignments as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Requires at least 2-3 years previous business operations experience, along with strong PC skills in Word, Excel, etc. Ideal candidate will also be knowledgeable in the use of DealerTrack and Route One software. Previous indirect/dealer relationship experience highly preferred; some college desired. Strong math and organization skills required. Bi-lingual language skills preferred.
