The Ideal Candidate for this Position:
The ideal candidate will have superior customer service skills, ability to interact with guests as well as fellow employees and be a team player. Friendly, energetic and positive attitude is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Interact with guests to take drink and food orders.
- Communicate with kitchen for food ordering.
- Ensure prompt delivery of food to the guest’s table.
- Have working knowledge of liquor, beer, wine and food that is served at the property.
- Suggest pairings of food to wine or beer.
- Handle all checks and cash according to procedures.
- Ensure cleanliness of restaurant including polished flatware, clean glassware and plates. Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants.
- Compose and be knowledgeable of standard drinks and liquors or wines specific to restaurant bar.
- Be knowledgeable of restaurant menu and food items to sell to customers.
- Plan and maintain par levels for bar inventory.
- Prepare daily orders for bar items to maintain pars.
- Responsible for cash handling and bank procedures as outlined by the Accounting Department.
- Perform accurate bar inventory as deemed necessary by the Director of Restaurants or the Restaurant Manager.
- Responsible for learning suggestive selling techniques and using them during services. Maintain cleanliness of all workplace areas that apply to the bar.
- Ability to work any assigned shift/work schedule. Any other task, written or verbal, assigned by Leadership.
- Assist in other areas of the restaurant, including seating guests.
