HVAC Mechanical Estimator
- Job responsibilities
- Estimate various size commercial HVAC projects
- Primarily new construction and renovation
- e.g. shell buildings, tenant build outs, retail centers, offices, warehouses, assembly venues, etc.
- Primarily new construction and renovation
- Comprehensive understanding of various mechanical and support equipment including but not limited to
- Roof top units, split systems, desiccant systems, exhaust fans, louvers, air distribution, ductwork, piping, insulation, and controls
- Ability to read and understand:
- Plans and specifications, contracts, subcontracts, project schedules, procurement documents, equipment submittals, progress billing, close out documents, etc.
- Not required but a plus
- Knowledge of chillers, boilers, DDC controls, mechanical engineering, etc.,
- Design build / design assist / value engineering experience
- Job requirements
- 1-2 years estimating experience
- OR
- 5 years of field experience
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
- Fast learner, critical thinker and self-starter
- Time and resource manager
- Team player with good communication skills
- Professional presentation
- Ability to read, write and communicate using the English language to sufficient to perform job functions
- High School Diploma
