Print Press - Roll Tender - M600 Press - Web Press

The M600 Roll Tender works as a helper on the web press ensuring accuracy and quality of the product.

The essential job functions include, however, are not limited to those duties listed below.  There may be other duties assigned by the Management Team, at any time.

• Review job ticket and related paperwork.
• Prepare the necessary materials required for the job and assist crew.
• Set up roll as per job requirements.
• Wash blankets and gum plates.
• Conduct make-ready as a shared responsibility with press operator and 2^nd press operator.  Assist sheeter operator on setting up stacker or sheeter during job setup.
• Adjust backup and prepare rule down for press operators review.
• Assist as directed by the press operator or 2^nd press operator until job is completed.
• Maintain accurate paper logs, organize roll labels and ensure that cutting tickets/paperwork follow the job ticket through the plant.
• Organize and refill bottles, rags and chemicals in proper receptacles.
• Assist in gathering appropriate information relative to paper defects or claims.
• Ensure that the crew is properly following Company polices, department procedures and safety practices.

Education or Training Requirements:

Mastery of all requirements of web sheeter operator position; ability to work as a team member; ability to work under pressure; ability to read, write and understand written and verbal instructions; ability to perform basic math.

Physical Requirements: Mobility to access the building, to move within the plant. Ability to travel if required. Ability to lift up to 50lbs, bend, stand, stretch in the course of performing the duties of the position.
