Collector II / Collections

Position is located in Lake Mary, FL.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Notifies or locates members on delinquent credit cards and unsecured loans.  Attempts to secure payment by appropriate means.
• Has knowledge of FDCPA and TCPA.
• Has experience and knowledge with extensive skip tracing without the use of a skip tracing program and ability to secure arrangements to cure delinquency.
• Must have strong member service skills and have the ability to use information to effectively cure delinquency.
• Must possess ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.
• Must be very detailed and possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Offsets funds from other CFE accounts to cover delinquencies.
• Documents verbal and written correspondence with members regarding status of delinquent accounts.
• Attempts to assist delinquent members into an extension or modification agreement.
• Conducts diligent follow-up through queues and calendars to ensure appropriate follow-up on delinquent accounts.
• Escalates problem accounts to appropriate management as necessary.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

Requires 3-5 years of collections experience within a credit union or other financial institution.  Strong PC and multi-tasking skills are required.  Bi-lingual language skills a plus. CFE is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
