Job Title:     Program Coordinator, YMCA Middle School Programs

Learn grow and thrive with a career at the Y! Join the YMCA of Central Florida and make a difference in the community today. The Y operates multiple before & after school programs at middle school locations across four counties in Central Florida.  We are currently seeking Co-Program Coordinators to provide leadership and administrative support at these locations. Applicants must possess solid experience in leading and organizing teen leadership programs. Individuals should have at least 1 - 3 years of experience in teen / youth programming and staff leadership experience.  S/he must have the ability to provide confident leadership to students, parents, volunteers and staff. 

We currently have an immediate Co-Coordinator opening at the following ORANGE COUNTY location:

Glenridge Middle 2900 Upper Park Rd Orlando, Fl 32814

Qualifications:   

  • AA/AS degree or equivalent in related field required; Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 – 3 years’ experience in formal child care curriculum and programming, school age experience
  • Minimum 1 – 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required; Oracle experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of practices, procedures, activities and programs as they relate to youth/child/teen development
  • Strong interpersonal skills that support informative communications with parents and teens. 
  • Valid drivers’ license in good standing and satisfactory completion of a criminal history check required.
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required. *Or willing to obtain within first 60 days.
  • Must have flexibility to work part-time programs hours, M – F; Before School (7a - 9a), and After School typically: 2p – 5:30p.
