LEAD COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST

SUMMARY:

The Lead Collections Specialist provides a superior level of service to owners and team members on the collection of delinquent accounts. The Lead Collections Specialist must demonstrate outstanding team leadership.

             

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate Noble Dialer, to include reports, creation of lists and agent training.
  • Assist team members with takeover calls and problem resolution.
  • Responsible for quality assurance within the department, consisting of monitoring and coaching team members.
  • Complete QA forms on Collection staff on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Update and report on dialer-initiated inbound/outbound call stats including individual agent stats.
  • Use leadership skills to resolve owner issues and communicate with other departments.
  • Direct and coach team members, as delegated by Collections Manager.
  • Prepare departmental payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Provide superior customer service in accordance with the Company DRIven to Excellence standards.
  • Consistently practice maintain the highest standards of professionalism when interacting with fellow team members, management, owners, members and prospects.
  • Operate office machinery (i.e., computer, copy machine, fax machine).
  • Assist Collections Manager with special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two (2) years of related experience.
  • Supervisory/management experience, to include interviewing, hiring, evaluation and termination of staff members.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • One (1) year experience in the timeshare or vacation ownership industry preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Brio and Atlas software preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to communicate in English, in both oral and written form.
  • Excellent data entry skills.
  • Ability to type 45 WPM.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read & comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos.
  • Self-motivated, with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to present information to top management and public groups.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Problem analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Initiative and adaptability.
  • Detail oriented.
