LEAD COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST
SUMMARY:
The Lead Collections Specialist provides a superior level of service to owners and team members on the collection of delinquent accounts. The Lead Collections Specialist must demonstrate outstanding team leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate Noble Dialer, to include reports, creation of lists and agent training.
- Assist team members with takeover calls and problem resolution.
- Responsible for quality assurance within the department, consisting of monitoring and coaching team members.
- Complete QA forms on Collection staff on a bi-weekly basis.
- Update and report on dialer-initiated inbound/outbound call stats including individual agent stats.
- Use leadership skills to resolve owner issues and communicate with other departments.
- Direct and coach team members, as delegated by Collections Manager.
- Prepare departmental payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
- Provide superior customer service in accordance with the Company DRIven to Excellence standards.
- Consistently practice maintain the highest standards of professionalism when interacting with fellow team members, management, owners, members and prospects.
- Operate office machinery (i.e., computer, copy machine, fax machine).
- Assist Collections Manager with special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two (2) years of related experience.
- Supervisory/management experience, to include interviewing, hiring, evaluation and termination of staff members.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team.
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
- One (1) year experience in the timeshare or vacation ownership industry preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency in Brio and Atlas software preferred.
SKILLS:
- Ability to communicate in English, in both oral and written form.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Ability to type 45 WPM.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read & comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos.
- Self-motivated, with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to present information to top management and public groups.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
