Senior Finance Specialist

The position will focus on analysis of business drivers, financial statements, developing plans/forecasts, CAS compliance, GAAP Compliance, accounting and financial policies / practices and strategic goals. The position will include the opportunity for overseeing A/P, processing A/R, Payroll, and timesheet reporting.

Education and Skills:
The ideal candidate will have many of the following education and skill attributes with the ability to successfully learn additional skills to support specific job requirements after hire:

•    Minimum Education:  CPA or MBA
•    8+ years of progressing experience, including financial controls and reporting.
•    Software setup and implementation
•    Understanding of Government Accounting policies and procedures.
•    Proficiency with Deltek GCS or Costpoint
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel User Required).
•    Must be comfortable exercising independent judgment to propose solutions, while at the same time being cognizant of difficult and sensitive situations.
•    Detail-oriented with strong math and analytical skills, and able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
 
Other Requirements: Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance.  Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
