Assistant Security Manager

Then you have the magic to be Team Merlin at SEA LIFE Orlando, Madame Tussauds Orlando, and The Coca-Cola Orlando Eye!   About The Role   We are now looking for qualified Assistant Security Manager to help secure our exciting and dynamic attractions.  The Assistant Security Manager will help to drive and maintain a culture of incident management awareness and training along with loss prevention strategies.      Responsibilities:

• Develop, lead, and train security team to ensue we are operating within policies and legislation at all times while minimizing risk and delivering high standards of guest service.
• Liaison with local law enforcement and federal agencies to ensure that all potential threats are communicated in a timely manner.
•  in order to provide effective and lead Maintain a high profile security presence to preserve order and deter theft and criminal behavior.
• Prevent loss and damage by responding to emergencies, reporting unusual occurrences, enforcing policies and procedures, and restricting access to trespassers.
• Proactively manage the CCTV system.  Assist Senior Profit Protection Manager  with profit protection investigations; completes written reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities.
• Coordinate with Finance Team to ensure compliance with Profit Protection and Access Control policies procedures as per Merlin Entertainments, plc guidelines.
• Adopts an enthusiastic, assertive, and passionate approach to guest service, and demonstrates the Merlin Values at every opportunity.
• Create a positive team environment by establishing good relationship with team members and all staff.
• Responsibility to ensure compliance of Health, Safety & Security within the workplace.
• About You
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in security or law enforcement preferably in the attraction and/or theme park industry.
• Florida Class D Security License must be obtained within first 90 days of employment (required). Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License.
• Demonstrated ability to handle and resolve conflicts in an effective manner.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Computer skills.  Ability to utilize standard software applications to include Microsoft Office.
• Possess strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Desire to work in fast-paced environments.
• Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
