The Revenue Management Analyst Senior assumes a leadership role within the Reimbursement department, working independently and with little supervision. Performs other duties as assigned.

Analyzes assigned general ledger accounts monthly and prepares related schedules and/or monthly journal entries

Assists in the annual financial audit through preparation of workpapers and support for balance sheet accounts

Distributes and maintains daily general ledger reports, monthend reports, and appropriate files

Reconciles settlement accounts on a monthly basis

Assists with the processes and related systems to analyze trends and present a net revenue forecast to the Chief Financial Officer

Participates in the forecasting process through the development of net revenue assumptions for Medicare and Medicaid
-
Analyzes financial projections to assess current and new programs and services

Prepares variance analyses as requested

Provides support and education to Management on changes in regulations and implications to facilities including providing

summaries of significant regulatory changes and the implications to health system

Determines the implications of proposed adjustments and evaluates the internal position on challenging of intermediary adjustments

Prepares monthly contractual allowance entries timely and accurately
-
Prepares monthly settlements for bad debt and other Medicare settlements and contractual/bad debt allowances to understand and ensure accurate financial reporting of net revenue

Prepares required CHAMPUS and other regulatory filings as necessary on time, interacts with intermediary and meets intermediary deadlines as appropriate

Provides information to the fiscal intermediary to support systems position on regulatory issues upon audit

Works with Managed Care and other departments as necessary to support the forecasting process through the development of revenue assumptions for all non-governmental payors

Works with the Business Office, Managed Care and other departments to ensure that processes are in place to properly capture and record net revenue in the financial statements
Education Required Bachelor's Accounting Or Bachelor's Finance Or Bachelor's Related Field Preferred Master's Business Administration
