Administrative Assistant to the General Counsel

What will I be doing?

An Administrative Assistant to the General Counsel provides executive administrative and clerical support by coordinating, prioritizing and responding to requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner while positively representing the department. They will also perform administrative duties including, but not limited to, word-processing, typing, e-mailing, data-entry, filing, faxing, copying, processing mail and taking notes and/or dictation. This role is critical to the needs of the organization as they will draft and prepare memorandums, business correspondence, reports, presentations, expense reports, and contacts lists. An ideal candidate will be comfortable scheduling and managing the General Counsel's schedule including, but not limited to, arranging and scheduling local, global and video meetings, conferences and training sessions, making travel arrangements and coordinating Board of Directors' meetings.

What are we looking for?

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 8+ years of experience as an executive assistant in a corporate environment or 8+ years of experience as a legal administrative assistant in a law firm.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 60 words per minute
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written
  • Ability to practice full confidentiality
  • Experience multitasking with the ability to multitask and prioritize as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visio and Access
