SUMMARY: Manage an Attractions Operations team within a theme park. Use analytical skills to ensure that the assigned venues are meeting departmental standards for guest satisfaction, team member satisfaction, and financial goals while maintaining the highest safety standards at all times.

  • Supervise and oversee the daily theme park operation to ensure proper staffing, capacity, efficiency, crowd control and guest services standards are being met. Perform coverage of a specific attraction or attractions, oversee the operation, respond to guest and operational issues, communicate with various operational partners and be the first responder to operational and guest issues.
  • Ensure the safety of guests by reviewing and revising safety practices and procedures and documents and respond to potentially unsafe conditions. Coach employees and use counseling forms to document and maintain safe team member actions in accordance with UO policy.
  • Responsible for developing, coaching and counseling Lead and Attraction Attendants. Manage labor budgets for assigned attractions. Monitor, track and record overtime and training projections and results. Mitigate overtime by adjusting staffing according to daily attendance projections. Analyze and respond to various reports including but not limited to guest comments, capacity, down times, and incident reports.
  • Focus on guest and employee satisfaction. Ensure that each employee is greeting and interacting and assisting guest while maintaining an efficient, safe and pleasant environment. Ensure that initiatives and programs are in place to keep the workplace fun while increasing overall job satisfaction and efficiency.
  • Maintain positive relationships and partner with other departments to ensure that company goals are met while maintaining internal standards. Maintain the quality, cleanliness and facility maintenance standards to ensure the assigned venues are 'Show Ready' for our guests at all times.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Directly manage theme park Attendants and Lead Attendants in a hospitality environment. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • Uses analytical skills to ensure that the assigned venue(s) are meeting departmental standards for guest satisfaction, team member satisfaction, and financial goals while maintaining the highest safety standards at all times.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
    Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory or management experience required; management experience in hospitality preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
