The Medical Assistant III assists physicians with patient examination, procedures and treatment. This position supports high volume and/or specialty providers. Responsible for patient histories, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab. Follows up on test orders and reports results to the physician and patient, provides and maintains patient education materials, maintains medical equipment, inventories clinical and drug supplies. May obtain clinical, financial and demographic information. Create and maintain patient charts. File charts and reports. Performs other duties as assigned.
