As the Senior Manager, you are a master collaborator and align strategy with stakeholders across the entire Universal organization. You will lead a strategy and analytics team in developing and driving marketing optimization, channel analysis and integrated decision strategies. The analytic responsibilities will consist of analyzing top down marketing optimization, bottom up attribution and consumer and marketing insights in order to recommend both strategic and operational plans.

  • Leads the Channel Analytics team in the mining of data to detect patterns, opportunities and insights that drive our marketing strategy and segmentation of individuals to feed personalization platforms.
  • Leads Marketing Optimization to determine how we can optimize marketing leveraging all paid, owned and earned channels through the guest journey.
  • Provides leadership and communicates new capabilities and insights throughout the organization with diverse audiences from marketing channel managers to C-Suite executives.
  • Manages, motivates and develops team to improve performance in their current role and prepare them for career growth.
  • Develops and manages vendor engagements in order to augment the bandwidth and capabilities of internal team; includes the procurement and legal process.
  • Identify and establish integrated communication strategy KPIs and lifecycle reporting.
  • Generate actionable knowledge-driven insights and analysis and proactively share with marketing and sales stakeholders.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.

  • 10+ years of digital, integrated marketing and analytic experience combined with management consulting or analytic strategy preferably in support of marketing and sales functions in the consumer entertainment, travel or amusement park industry.
  • Previous experience with marketing, media and customer segmentation strategy required.
  • Ability to develop customer-centric omni-channel and channel specific marketing strategies and optimization based on data and analysis.
  • Capable of delivering creative solutions and socializing complicated concepts to both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Strong business acumen with robust ability to solve business problems through data driven quantitative methodologies and provide concise thoughts into proposals, recommendations and findings.
  • Excellent analytical skills required, including advanced statistical and data mining techniques, to enhance and help determine business decisions
  • Experience leading projects with significant and far-ranging impact on the performance of the business in both the short- and long-term as well as requiring significant financial and resource investments.
  • Strong project management competency managing cross-functional roles without direct supervision and selecting and managing vendors and outside contractors to augment internal capabilities.
  • Familiar with visual analytic tools such as Tableau preferred.
  • Experience working with high-volumes of structured and unstructured data, from varying sources, to detect patterns; knowledge of Map/Reduce framework (Hadoop/Hive, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience programming big data with statistical modeling tools such as SAS, SPSS, or R is a plus.
