Perform a variety of accounting functions that involve the application of a full range of general accounting principles and techniques including journal entries, account reconciliations and review, consolidations, report writing and creation, financial statement review, variance commentary and balance sheet forecasting. Ability to speak Japanese preferred.

  • Perform monthly variance analysis on a range of accounts to verify accuracy and identify business trends.
  • Compile, review and submit monthly and quarterly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and NBCU account reconciliation requirements.
  • Record and report financial transactions and prepare monthly statements including balance sheets, profit and loss and subsidiary statements of the organization's official financial records.
  • Assist with quarterly NBCU corporate reporting by compiling, reviewing and analyzing requested financial information and submitting based on NBCU requirements.
  • Assist in ad hoc projects designed to improve processes within the finance organization. Role requires analysis of existing processes and determination of ways to achieve an efficient and effective internal control environment.

QUALIFICATIONS: Analytical thinking, Communication skills, Organizational skills, Ability to meet deadlines, General Accounting, Microsoft Office, Financial Accounting, Financial analysis, Financial planning, Forecasting

EDUCATION: High school degree or GED is required. Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree or other advanced degree required for CPA is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 3 years or more in accounting, or business experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Infrequent local travel. Long distance travel not required.
