Schools want nurses to give students real-word training

Health Sciences is a growing field and there’s a strong demand for skilled professionals who can work in that industry. At Lake County Schools we want to make sure our students are ready for those careers. That’s why we look for experienced health professionals to provide our students with real-world, career specific training.

Currently, we are seeking to hire registered nurses with at least four years’ experience to become Health Sciences Education Teachers in our high schools. These teachers will help ensure students are prepared for entry level positions as a Certified Nursing Assistant once they graduate from high school.

Health Science Education Teachers are responsible for coordinating testing for students through prometrics, coordinating scheduling for all clinicals, and ensuring compliance with Florida Board of Nursing requirements.

Hours: 7:00 am-3:00 pm, Monday – Friday (Work 196 days for 10 months out of the year)

Salary Range: $40,000 – $59,400 (Salary is determined by years of experience and additional compensation is available for eligible teachers through the Talent Development Pipeline).
