Food Service Assistant

Lake County Schools Food Services Department provides economical, nutritious breakfasts and lunches every school day. Our mission is "To Provide all Lake County students with Nutritious, High Quality Food Choices to Enhance their ability to Learn!" We are the heroes of the lunch room serving hundreds of meals daily. Lake County Schools is located less than an hour away from Orlando. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our Food Service team as Food Service Assistants.

REQUIREMENTS:

· High school diploma or GED

· Experience in food preparation within a similar institution preferred

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Assists with the preparation and serving of various food items according to standardized recipes, policies and procedures. Adheres to all applicable federal laws, school board policies, and food service directives. Maintains accurate daily food production and inventory records. Records quantity of unused food; stores food according to proper sanitation and standardized food storage practices; utilizes food effectively. Operates all food preparation equipment according to all applicable sanitation, safety guidelines and regulations. Organizes food serving line and serves as assigned.
