Security Officers performs hotel security duties to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, their property as well as hotel assets. 

Patrols and inspects assigned areas to include all public areas, meeting rooms, entrances, back of the house areas, outside buildings and grounds; checks areas for unauthorized persons or vehicles, unlocked doors, and fire and safety hazards.

Maintain a security control desk at employee entrance/exit, inspects bags and packages carried by employees: supervises clocking in/out by employees: periodically inspects trash carts being taken to the dumpster.

 Write detailed reports regarding incidents of theft, injury, property damage and/or any incident relating to an infraction of laws, company polices of breaches of security. Investigates all safety or security incidents relating to the hotel guests or employees.

 Coordinates investigations with local law enforcement agencies as appropriate.

Respond to emergency situations promptly, evaluates the nature and severity of the situation, and acts accordingly, including calling for outside assistance if necessary: administers first aid and arranges for emergency medical treatment for guests and employees.

Escorts' employees or guests carrying cash throughout the property or employees requesting an escort when leaving the building
