Drives and directs hotel forecasting and forecast model improvements through the use of statistical and mathematical models. Creates a variety of analyses to improve hotel performance and profitability.

  • Continuously validate, calibrate, and optimize revenue management system assumptions and settings.
  • Trouble shoot forecast and optimization anomalies with revenue management team through the use of statistical and mathematical optimization models.
  • Identify opportunities and direct the science team from revenue management vendor on enhancements to revenue management system.
  • Perform data cleansing and verify data integrity in multiple ancillary systems.
  • Conduct research on best practices in revenue management and forecasting, and apply where applicable.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • System maintenance and troubleshooting responsibility.
  • On call responsibility

  • Operating experience with revenue management systems.
  • Proven track record in creating advanced statistical modeling, particularly with forecasting and pricing models.
  • Experience in data analysis with heavy emphasis on data driven decision making and the ability to communicate and simplify complex concepts to business leaders.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Advanced Excel skills required. R, Python, Java, and Oracle preferred.

EDUCATION: Master's degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3-5 years' experience, preferably in Revenue Management, pricing, or online travel distribution with business analytics experience in related industries (Tour operators, online travel agencies, airlines, hotels, car rental, themed attractions etc.)
